WWE’s Black Friday came and went last week and there was one name surprisingly left off the long list of released WWE superstars: Ryback.
A few weeks ago it would have been hard to imagine The Big Guy being let go anytime soon, considering he was still a relevant player on Raw and SmackDown, but that was before he asked to be taken off TV and wrote a blog post explaining his demand for equal pay for winners and losers.
The former Intercontinental Champion spoke openly about the possibility of him being released because of his blog post, and it seemed like a foregone conclusion that would happen since the company is assuredly less than cool with him publicly criticizing them in such a way. As of now, though, Ryback is still employed by WWE.
However, the future of Mr. Feed Me More in WWE isn’t looking all that promising considering the fact that all his merchandise has been moved to the “sale” section of WWEShop.com.
Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean that The Ryback is done for in WWE, as other less fireable superstars like The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, and John Cena also have merch currently on sale. But for all of Ryback’s items to be discounted at the same time, that can’t be a good sign.
So, if you were itching for a Ryback chain, a Big Guy picture frame, or a set of “Feed Me More” tattoos (only $1.99!) now would be the time to get on that.
