At Friday night’s pre-SummerSlam WWE 2K17 launch event (after talking to the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar), we had a chance to talk to the one and only Bill Goldberg, who will be this year’s featured pre-order exclusive Legend in the game.
We talked to the former multi-time world champion for a surprisingly long time about what it means to him to be such a big part of this video game, but we also got into his worst injuries and talked about what made everyone fall in love with him in the first place: his streak against classic and beloved underneath guys like Jerry Flynn and Glacier.
Seriously, if it’s been a while since you’ve checked out Goldberg’s classic matches with Glacier, you really need to stop what you’re doing and watch them again. They rule. It’s like Goldberg and Glacier were each other’s Flair and Steamboat. I’m very excited to learn that Goldberg can still do that back handspring. GOLDBERG VS. GLACIER AT WRESTLEMANIA 33. LET’S DO IT.
