For a few years there, before Daenerys from Game of Thrones and Eleven from Stranger Things took over, The Office‘s Dwight Schrute, as made famous by Rainn Wilson, was one of the most popular television Halloween costumes. It’s easy enough to put together: All you need is an ugly mustard shirt, an uglier jacket, and aviator frame glasses, and you’re basically done. (It helps to carry around the complete series DVD boxset of Battlestar Galactica, but this isn’t a necessity.) But now that The Office has been off the air for three years, Dwight isn’t as much of a late-October mainstay as he used to be. Jenna Fischer hopes to change that.
The Office star — who really should have won an Emmy for her work as Pam Beesly, if only for “Beach Games” alone — shared a photo of a child dressed like Dunder Mifflin’s Assistant to the Regional Manager for Halloween. It’s adorable.

He’s even carrying a beet! (The quote — “How would I describe myself? Three words. Hard-working. Alpha male. Jack hammer. Merciless. Insatiable” — comes from season three’s “The Return,” when Dwight is applying for a new job.) Actually, now that I think about it, Fischer never explicitly says the kid is Dwight; he could be Jim-as-Dwight, which, considering Pam’s history with Jim, would be even more horrifying than what Creed is up to on Halloween.
