Robert De Niro’s interwoven history with The Godfather movies is rather well known and dissected, and this audition clip — which I believe is from a special edition release of the trilogy — has been on the internet for a couple of years, but thanks to an unearthing today it is enjoying quite the resurgence.
The crazy thing is I’m on the internet all the time and I have never seen it before! And maybe you haven’t either! It’s compelling because it’s a young Robert De Niro saying the lines you’re used to James Caan saying. Enjoy.
