Ron Burgundy On A Street Corner With Donuts & A 40? The ‘Anchorman 2′ Marketing Blitz Continues.

This image from Reddit represents what is certainly the first real truth in advertising I’ve ever encountered. The post reads “Ron Burgundy came to my town today…with Dunkin Donuts and a 40” and comes from user VacationJasom who’s only been a redditor for 2 hours.

After some snooping and deducing, the following happened:

As most of the other comments note, it is refreshing to see such openness from a marketing campaign. But then again, it isn’t like they need to keep some shroud of mystery intact. We’ve been talking about this movie for weeks now and the marketing campaign has reached the point of being overwhelming.

If I see Ron Burgundy shilling flameless candles on QVC, I’m going to lose it.

Just release the movie already and I promise to go see it. I’ll even take a Ferrell-hater with me and force them to watch. I just don’t think I can take any more marketing.

EDIT – Kenny Powers and Ozymandias noted in the comments that this was in fact for The Dan Patrick Show and there is video evidence to back it up! Still truth in advertising, dammit. At least give me that much because there is f*ck all anywhere else in marketing.
