WWE Raw Results 9/16/19

WWE Raw Results:

– The show opened with Seth Rollins cutting a promo about defeating Braun Strowman and being attacked by The Fiend at Clash of Champions. He was interrupted by Firefly Funhouse Bray, who teased The Fiend having more to say to Rollins before the end of the night. After the segment, Raw’s graphics were broadcast upside down.

– The Revival, Robert Roode, and Dolph Ziggler attempted to have a Tag Team Summit to celebrate their title wins at Clash of Champions. Braun Strowman showed up and beat them all up by himself.

1. The O.C. defeated Cedric Alexander and The Viking Raiders. AJ Styles pinned Alexander after a Phenomenal Forearm. After the match, the teams brawled and Styles hit a Styles Clash on Alexander from the second rope.

– Carmella and R-Truth toured the University of Tennessee and were met by Knoxville County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, aka Kane.

2. King of the Ring Tournament Finals: Baron Corbin defeated Chad Gable. Corbin won a competitive match by countering a tornado DDT attempt into the End of Days. Baron Corbin is your 2019 King of the Ring. Watch that here.

– Mike and Maria Kanellis held a “gender reveal party” for their unborn child. Maria revealed that the baby is a boy, and that Ricochet is the father. Mike immediately challenged Ricochet to a match.

3. Ricochet defeated Mike Kanellis with the Recoil.

– After a commercial break, Maria revealed that she only said Ricochet was the father in a failed attempt to motivate Mike. She said the real father was the returning RUSEV. Kanellis tried to avoid a match by saying he was fine with Rusev impregnating Rusev, but Rusev attacked him anyway.

4. Rusev defeated Mike Kanellis by submission with the Accolade.

– Mayor Kane showed R-Truth the stadium where the Tennessee Volunteers play football, and revealed that he had a referee with him. Truth tried to escape but ran into the goalpost, knocking himself out. Kane then pinned him to win the 24/7 Championship. Later in the episode, Truth hid on top of Kane’s limo and rolled him up to regain the championship. They then agreed to a truce. Watch that saga here.

– Bray Wyatt hung up photos in the Funhouse of stars he’s attacked with red “X” over their eyes, including Seth Rollins.

5. Rey Mysterio defeated Cesaro. Mysterio hit a 619 and tried a top rope hurricanrana, but Cesaro blocked it. He tried to powerbomb Rey, but Rey countered into a sunset bomb to win the match.

– AOP got a vignette about how nobody wants to fight them.

6. Sasha Banks and Bayley defeated Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. Bliss was “injured” during the match, causing Cross to fight alone. Banks tapped Cross out with the Banks Statement. After the match, Banks tried to attack Cross with a steel chair until Becky Lynch made the save. Lynch squared off 2-on-1 with Banks and Bayley until Charlotte Flair made the secondary save. Lynch then took out Banks with a chair of her own.

– Sasha Banks challenged Becky Lynch to a match at Hell in a Cell. Lynch accepted the match, saying they shouldn’t just have it AT Hell in a Cell, they should have it IN Hell in a Cell.

7. Lacey Evans defeated Dana Brooke. Evans knocked out Brooke with the Women’s Right, then tapped her out to a Sharpshooter to “send a message” to Natalya.

8. Seth Rollins defeated Robert Roode by disqualification when Dolph Ziggler broke up a pin. After the match, Ziggler, Roode, and The O.C. attacked Rollins 5-on-1. The Demon Kane made the save for Rollins. As Kane was preparing to do his taunt, The Fiend attacked and choked Kane out with a mandible claw. The Fiend then crawled up to a terrified Rollins, and the show ended with distorted Firefly Funhouse graphics.
