Tonight, on the With Spandex NXT live open discussion thread:
The debut of WWE NXT’s live broadcast ended in chaos last Wednesday, when Matt Riddle and Killian Dain’s Street Fight broke down into bedlam – and engulfed almost the entire NXT roster. When the melee settled down, NXT General Manager William Regal declared that the Street Fight would continue in seven days, with an added incentive: The winner will earn the right to challenge NXT Champion Adam Cole. Who will emerge from what is sure to be a brutal brawl with a golden opportunity? Find out on WWE NXT when it airs live tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network. The action will continue at 9/8 C on the award-winning WWE Network. (via WWE.com)
Our five-point preview:
1. If you’re new to NXT, we do a regular Best and Worst of NXT column that you should check out. Here’s a quick link to last week’s column to catch you up.
2. Killian Dain faces Matt Riddle in a continued-from-last-week street fight, with the winner facing Adam Cole for the NXT Championship. Unless they’re gonna run Cole vs. Dain that kinda takes the surprise out of it, but it should still be crazy.
3. Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic are wrestling on live television. If you’re unaware of why this is literally huge, go check out the GIF collection from their most recent match.
4. Dakota Kai is back, and Team Kick (which is two people) (I think?) has its captain back!
5. As a reminder, this will turn into an NXT/AEW combination open discussion thread next week, so we’re gonna see how that goes. Worst case scenario I’ll send half of you black and yellow shirts, and half of you black and gold. That’ll clear things up!
As always, +1 your favorite comments from tonight’s open thread and if we get enough comments, we’ll include 10 of the best in tomorrow’s Best and Worst of NXT report. Make sure you flip the comments by selecting “newest” in the drop down menu under discussion, and enjoy the show!
