Last month, Down syndrome advocacy group Coor Down received the following message from an expecting mother who recently learned her baby has Down syndrome: “I’m expecting a baby. I’ve discovered he has Down syndrome. I’m scared: what kind of life will my child have?”
Coor Down responded by producing the touching video above, in which 15 people with Down syndrome give short, heartwarming responses to the concerned mother-to-be. Together, they deliver the message — just in time for World Down Syndrome Day on March 21 — that people with Down syndrome can live happy, productive lives, before closing with a dust-billowing, onion-cutting montage of the featured players embracing their mothers.
