The Dallas Cowboys have unwavering faith in Tony Romo. On Friday, America’s Team used their money to back it up, signing the quarterback to a six-year contract extension worth $108 million. The deal – $55 million of which is guaranteed – makes Romo the highest-paid player in the team history. The move will lower Romo’s salary cap number for 2013, freeing up approximately $5 million in space for the team to sign free agents and draft picks. With the extension, Romo could be commandeering the ‘Boys offense through the 2019 season.

Earlier this month, Super Bowl winner Joe Flacco inked a six-year, $120.6 million contract ($52 million guaranteed) with the Ravens. Flacco’s contract was said to be the guide used for structuring Romo’s deal.
