Fellow Taxi alum Danny DeVito brought the cultural phenomenon known as #TrollFoot to The Tonight Show last night, briefly explaining the history of his Twitter “art project” to Fallon before taking his sock off and telling Fallon to “get close to the foot!” Ever the hospitable host, Fallon obliged and then screamed at the #TrollFoot, which by then had risen to the surface of Fallon’s desk while a carton of his Ben & Jerry’s ice cream inexplicably sat in the background.
This is the end result.

Apparently, the ice cream didn’t make it into the shot, but the Roots did. Notice how Questlove refuses to gaze at the #TrollFoot. Do not fear the #TrollFoot, Questlove. #GetCloseToTheFoot
Later, when comedian Artie Lange joined Fallon at the Tonight Show desk, Lange tried to make #AssTroll a thing, but I think we can all agree that yelling #GetCloseToTheAss changes the energy in the room. Also, I’m not entirely sure that Fallon would have screamed at Lange’s ass were it placed nakedly on his desk for a Twitter shot. Not jokingly, at least.
