Don’t let the alcoholic appearance fool you. No, that is not your bearded uncle in the banner image up there, it’s actually everyones favorite haunted ex cop Mark Wahlberg Max Payne -and man is he looking disheveled. These days he’s apparently hanging out working private security in São Paulo, Brazil. Call me crazy, but I think he may be there for the donkey shows.
Still haunted by the memories of his traumatic past, Max begins a new life working private security protecting a wealthy industrialist and his family in São Paulo, Brazil. When gangs target the family under his protection, Max is forced to fight to save his clients and clear his name, in a bid to, once and for all, rid himself of the demons that have tortured him for far too long. It’s a totally different feel for the franchise, a switch up that I pray works out for Rockstar Games. Trading up the gritty snow-covered streets for the humid temps of Brazil seems a pretty extreme change up, but what do I know? I’m typing this without any pants on. As long as the infamous bullet time shootouts still exist, I’m sure Max and everybody will get along just fine.
Due out in March 2012, the official Max Payne 3 trailer:
