College sports are in a loaded arms race when it comes to designing modern uniforms. Nike and Adidas are in a constant battle to one up each other, and the results aren’t always great. That’s why it’s refreshing to see Adidas scale it back with a simplistic retro look for a handful of college basketball teams next season.
They took the traditional white and replaced it with an off-white cream color much like the expected NBA Christmas Day uniforms. The old-school logos for Wisconsin and Louisville add a really nice touch to the shorts. These jerseys should make those non-profit education institutions plenty of money.
Sometimes, less is more. Adidas hit the nail right on the head with these unis.
