Telltale Games has had a lot of success making games based on The Walking Dead, and now they’ve announced they’ll be expanding their undead empire by publishing 7 Days to Die.
7 Days to Die is another zombie game, but it doesn’t take a story-based approach like Telltale’s Walking Dead titles. Instead, 7 Days to Die is an action-RPG in which you have to collect resources, craft weapons and attempt to build a secure zombie-proof shelter. Basically, the game is Minecraft with walkers, which sounds like a combination that might just be popular. Telltale was released a live-action trailer for the game, which is sprinkled with a few Walking Dead Easter eggs, including a baseball bat that looks very much like Lucille. You can check it out above.
But wait, why isn’t there any gameplay footage in Telltale’s trailer? Well, 7 Days to Die is already out on Steam Early Access and the game is visually pretty janky. That said, the game is apparently quite fun, and has a Very Positive user rating on Steam, so you might want to look past the ugly exterior in this case.
The final version of 7 Days to Die comes to PC, Xbox One and PS4 sometime in June.
