The makers of Batman: Arkham Knight sure know how to milk fan nostalgia. There’s already a skin based on the ’60s Batman TV show available for the game, and now it’s been announced that you’ll soon be able to play as the 1989 Michael Keaton version of Batman.
It will be interesting to see how this version of the Batmobile works. So far, all the different “skins” for the Batmobile have just been different paint jobs, but this is a full redesign. I’m having a hard time imagining how the Tim Burton Batmobile looks in tank mode.
A variety of other skins will be releasing alongside Michael Keaton Batman, including ’70s Batman, Grey and Black Batman, Arkham Asylum Batman, ’90s Catwoman, Arkham Asylum Nightwing and One Year Later Robin.
Well, hello there, ’90s Catwoman. All these skins will be released this August as part of the Batman: Arkham Knight season pass. No word on when/if they’ll be released individually.
