This may be my finest achievement.
The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20th, so we’re finally seeing the first full clip from the film. Gary Oldman premiered it on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night. In the scene, his Commissioner Gordon and police officer John Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) talk about Batman’s disappearance eight years previous when he was assumed to have killed Harvey Dent. If you consider this a spoiler, I will fight you.
Even better, we have a TV spot which reveals an awesome cameo by Thomas Lennon (AKA Lieutenant Dangle from Reno 911). Lennon is playing Bruce Wayne’s doctor, which serves as the perfect excuse to make the photoshop above. And yes, the full version is exactly 911 pixels tall. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
We also have a new Dark Knight Rises trailer (last video below), although I still prefer the TV spot. Not only do we get to see the Lennon cameo in that second video, but we also learn what happens when you tell Batman somebody missed a spot. Never tell him that while you’re shaving, is all we’re saying.
