So, the news has been out for a few days, but I’d be remiss in my video game reporting duties if I didn’t do a post about the fact that a new Metal Gear game is on its way. Turns out Metal Gear Solid 4 wasn’t the final game in the series as promised. Imagine that. This new game, which was fully unveiled at PAX, has been given the incredibly awkward subtitle “Ground Zeroes”, and will serve as a prologue to an eventual Metal Gear Solid 5.
Hit the jump for a 14-minute video of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes (and its fancy new graphics engine) in action. It’s mostly all cutscenes with very little gameplay, but hey, this is a Metal Gear game — of course it’s all cutscenes…
I kind of gave up on the Metal Gear series around the time Raiden was jumping around naked in Metal Gear Solid 2, so I don’t really have any idea what was going on in that video. Maybe those of you who have played all the games got it. Maybe not. But hey, sweet graphics huh?
