“Black Mirror,” the chillingly prescient UK sci-fi anthology series created by Charlie Brooker, has been back in the news lately because the gossip about David Cameron and a pig closely resembles the plot of the series' very first episode. As Brooker himself joked:

Now it's back in the news for a better reason: there's going to be more of it, this time made for Netflix.
The streaming video giant announced today that Brooker and company will make 12 new episodes of the series, which will go into production in late 2015. The series will premiere internationally everywhere but the UK and Ireland, “where plans are being determined.”
In the press release, Brooker said, “It's all very exciting — a whole new bunch of 'Black Mirror' episodes on the most fitting platform imaginable. Netflix connects us with a global audience so that we can create bigger, stranger, more international and diverse stories than before, whilst maintaining that 'Black Mirror' feel.
“I just hope,” he added, “none of these new story ideas come true.”
(Also, before anyone asks: I'm trying to find out when, or if, Netflix will get streaming rights to the Christmas special with Jon Hamm. They have the other six episodes already.)
