The next James Bond film is set to hit theaters on November 6, 2015, but the speculation and rumors have already begun, and no one is immune from them. I talked with Ralph Fiennes last week for “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” and found it impossible to resist asking him a couple of questions about where “Bond 24” might be headed. For his part, Fiennes found it impossible not to indulge in a few rumors himself.
The actor was quick to tell me that he doesn't have anything solid about it, but is “dying to know.” Fiennes added that he has “Asked, but nothing is forthcoming yet.” However, he then told me, “The rumors are that I'm not stuck behind a desk, that I maybe do get out and maybe there's a little bit of action for M. I hope so.”
He certainly seemed excited about what the future holds for M and the franchise, and that was great to hear. While what he offered was filled with rumors and maybes, it absolutely offers us an insight into where Fiennes is with his character and what he'd like to see happen.
“Bond 24” is scheduled to start filming in October, so you can expect the rumor mill to only pickup steam in the coming months.
