With this brutal knockout, the world will soon know the name of Raufeon Stotts.
With UFC Fight Pass is becoming a go-to for action on the rare off weeks when there’s no UFC or Bellator. They’ve bolstered their programming with the Japanese mainstay Pancrese, women’s league Invicta FC and a plethora of smaller, regional orgs that intend to be farm leagues for the big boys. Last night MMA fans were able to watch Victory FC 47, headlined by UFC and Bellator vet Josh Neer facing off against Strikeforce/Bellator/UFC vet Anthony Smith. It was a solid card, but the real reason to watch these shows is to gauge the up and comers. One majorly stood out – Raufeon Stotts.
Stotts is a Jens Pulver-bred prospect that has moved over Duke Roufus’ camp, home of Anthony Pettis, Ben Askren and… CM Punk. It looks like the veteran training has paid off, as this beautiful counter left headkick demolished his opponent and sent him ragdolling into the cage.
It truly doesn’t get better than this – a devastating KO in less than 90 seconds will always put your name on the map of violence. The question is if/when he’ll be called up to the big stage.
