According to the latest episode of Rowdy Roddy Piper’s Piper’s Pit podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer is no longer on Podcast One because he pissed off fellow podcasting WWE Hall of Fame legend Stone Cold Steve Austin.
The issue was a satirical segment on Piper’s show in which he interviewed “Stone Cold,” played by comedian Will Sasso. You may remember Sasso from classic wrestling moments like his match against Bret Hart on WCW Monday Nitro or hosting Raw as Curly from The Three Stooges, doing a Hulk Hogan impression and being chokeslammed by Kane. Anyway, Piper asked “Stone Cold” about no-showing WrestleMania 31 and why he quits so often, and it reportedly made the actual Stone Cold so mad that the show was pulled six hours later. Piper says Podcast One threatened to fire him over it, so he moved the show to SoundCloud.
