At WWE Night Of Champions, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns advertised a mystery partner for their six-man tag team match against Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Braun Strowman of the Wyatt Family. Before the mystery man was announced, a fan in a swat vest and cargo pants ran into the ring to “help them out.” Because that’s never, ever a thing you’re supposed to do, he’s immediately tackled and taken away.
Here’s the scene:
This is just the latest in a string of bizarre fan interactions with the former members of The Shield. Dean Ambrose was almost attacked by a fan during a Smackdown taping back in August, and Roman Reigns was famously hit in the head with a plastic Money in the Bank briefcase around the same time. Seth Rollins had a fan jump the security rail during an episode of Raw and walk with him to the ring a few weeks later. It’s starting to look like these incidents are happening on purpose. Why are WWE fans trying to jump The Shield?
As a reminder, if you go to a live wrestling show (or sporting event, or ANYTHING where you aren’t the star), don’t run out onto “the field.” Bonus points for Bray Wyatt asking if that was their third man, though.
