WWE Superstar Adam Rose, real name Raymond Leppan, was arrested early Wednesday morning. The Hillsborough, Florida, sheriff’s office took Rose into custody at a private residence in Lutz at 1:30 a.m.
According to his arrest record, Rose was booked on charges of battery domestic violence and tampering with a witness. He has already been released from police custody.
Rose is currently serving a 60-day suspension for violating WWE’s Wellness policy, something he’s been publicly decrying on social media. Rose is adamant that he was in the right, and merely following his doctor’s orders:
I can say right now I did not do anything knowingly wrong and was taking prescribed medication that my Dr. and I followed all the correct protocol on.
Adam Rose and his family were profiled last year for ESPN’s E:60 documentary WWE Behind the Curtain. Part of the short film showed Rose’s struggles to break through in WWE, but mostly focused on his family life with his wife and two sons.
No further details of the arrest have been released at this time. We’ll continue to update the story as more information becomes available.
**UPDATE**
TMZ has picked up the story, and added the following details:
Rose grabbed Cassandra Leppan and pulled her toward him as he screamed at her…
Cassandra called 911, but according to the report Adam ripped the phone away from her — which is why he was booked for felony tampering with a witness, as well as domestic violence.
