The news of Adam Rose’s arrest yesterday for alleged domestic violence came as a shocker, especially as he was already under scrutiny for a wellness policy violation that he was trying to overturn. Even so, when Rose (real name: Raymond Leppan) was booked by Hillsborough County police, it was expected that consequences would swiftly follow. We’re now beginning to see those consequences in action, as WWE has now made Rose’s suspension indefinite. Here’s their official statement:
Tampa, Fla. — Raymond Leppan (a.k.a. WWE Superstar Adam Rose) was arrested at his home Wednesday morning by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Tampa, Fla.
According to a police report, Leppan was taken into custody and booked on alleged charges of tampering with a witness, a felony, and battery domestic violence, a misdemeanor. He is currently being held without bond.
WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Raymond Leppan has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest.
As reported earlier, the felony witness tampering charge stems from Rose attempting to prevent his wife Cassandra from calling the police. He remains in Hillsborough County prison without bail until the time of his arraignment. Combined with the wellness policy violation, this incident leaves Rose’s future with WWE in question, especially now that PWInsider is reporting that another round of personnel cuts is expected to be announced after the Extreme Rules pay-per-view. If these reports turn out to be true, it’s reasonable to assume that these recent events have moved Rose directly to the chopping block, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
