All Elite Wrestling’s Wednesday Night Show Is Officially Called ‘Dynamite’

Earlier this month, All Elite Wrestling filed a trademark for All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite and it looked like that could be the name of their upcoming television series on TNT. Today, a press release from the company confirmed that that is the case.

They also released some new promotional artwork and a dramatic trailer, which you can see and watch below.

The wrestlers most heavily featured in the trailer are Chris Jericho, Cody, Allie, Jimmy Havoc, MJF, Kenny Omega, Darby Allin, Jon Moxley, Luchasaurus, The Young Bucks, and Brandi Rhodes, and the tagline for Dynamite is, “A new league rises.” Though the name of the TV show brings to mind WCW Monday Nitro, the last wrestling show on TNT that ended over eighteen years ago, the promotional material doesn’t play into nostalgia and instead features lines like, “Do you really want to change the world?” and, “They saw what wrestling was and realized what it could be.”

Here’s how AEW represents its product in the press release about title of the show:

AEW is giving fans a new wrestling experience for the first time in 20 years. AEW is about more than wrestling. It’s a movement fueled by fans, offering fun, gripping and authentic athletic matches every week. Founded by President and CEO Tony Khan, the league is headlined by Cody & Brandi Rhodes, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), Kenny Omega, Hangman Adam Page, Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley. The diverse roster of world-class competitors includes Nyla Rose, Awesome Kong, Dustin Rhodes, Jungle Boy, Dr. Britt Baker, MJF and SCU. AEW is poised to bring new innovation, new energy and a new spirit to wrestling.
