Raw’s scheduled main event was a fatal four-way between Chris Jericho, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to name a new number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Owens jumped Zayn backstage and powerbombed him through a table, leaving the match one competitor short. GM for the night Shane McMahon made sure there was a fourth in the match, though, and that man was CESARO.

Cesaro went down with a shoulder injury back in November, just as he was building momentum. Last month, WWE’s Netherlands Twitter account announced that he’d be returning to the ring as part of WWE’s European tour, including a show scheduled for April 15. There was speculation that he’d be a surprise at WrestleMania, but obviously that didn’t happen.
Raw also saw the main roster debuts of Apollo Crews, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady as well as the return of former Divas Champion Maryse.
