On Thursday, a story started going around claiming that former WWE star Chyna had “crashed” the funeral of the late, great Rowdy Roddy Piper and used it as an excuse to “bum rush” her ex, Triple H. The story was popularized by another of Chyna’s exes, Sean “X-Pac” Waltman, who eventually learned that Chyna had been invited, and apologized for using the term “crashed.”
Still, the story got around, and we’d only heard one side of it. On Friday, Chyna posted a YouTube video (seen above) sharing her side of the story, defending her right to be at the funeral and describing her encounter with Triple H as, “a tender moment between two people who once cared about each other.” No altercation, no security, just a hug and an apology at a funeral. While it’s easy to be detached enough to take the “yeah right” stance, I’d say the emotion in her face tells the story. The truth in two peoples’ points of view often lies in the middle, and I guess the one guarantee we’ll get is that Triple H will never, ever comment on it.
The other guarantee is that Rowdy Roddy Piper will continue to be missed by everyone.
