Dean Ambrose Has Been Removed From His Scheduled WrestleMania Weekend Appearances

On the road to WrestleMania, there are occasional setbacks that will sometimes dampen the mood. In the case of Dean Ambrose, while nothing has been confirmed yet, there are signs pointing to a setback in the injury that is keeping him on the shelf.

Ambrose, initially injured back in December, has been on the mend from triceps surgery and for obvious reasons has been kept off WWE programming as he heals. At first, many within WWE thought that Ambrose would be back in time for WrestleMania, … until Ambrose had triceps surgery, which wrestlers normally come back from in around nine months.

On Monday, WWE announced that Dean Ambrose would not be able to appear at his scheduled WWE Axxess VIP signing during WrestleMania week and that Sting and Ric Flair would be there instead, setting off alarm bells that something might not be right with Ambrose.

Later in the day, PWInsider posted that Ambrose had been seen recently in Birmingham, where his surgery was performed, and sometime after that, WWE pulled Ambrose from all his signings.

Ambrose was spotted in Birmingham, Alabama recently. It is believed he was there to check out the recovery progress of his triceps tear after undergoing surgery on it last December.

While no sources we spoke to would confirm this, given that Ambrose was also pulled from several scheduled World of Wheels autograph signings after his Birmingham visit, it is certainly within the realm of possibility that something during that visit led to WWE pulling him from making his signing appearances.

The post makes it seem that there’s likely been a setback for Ambrose, which could potentially mean he might miss SummerSlam as well.. This also creates more questions than answers for when he’d return, and what landscape Ambrose would return to. Sorry about that Shield reunion, everyone!

Hopefully, the rumors are just rumors and perhaps this is WWE swerving folks again. Heck, Ambrose might be ahead of schedule. But it’s very possible Dean Ambrose fans are in for a colder winter than expected.
