2015 has been an especially difficult year for pro wrestling fans with the loss of both “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, and today marks another sad occasion: As of November 13, 2015, it has been 10 years since the passing of Eddie Guerrero. Ten years.
On November 13, 2005, Guerrero’s heart gave out on him at age 38, and WWE and the wrestling world at large lost one of the greatest and most beloved performers of all-time. Eddie’s in-ring accomplishments are beyond compare, as he held nearly every title WWE can give a man, including two Intercontinental Championship runs, two runs with the European title, four reigns as one-half of the Tag Team Champions and one reign as United States Champion. His crowning achievement in WWE came on February 15, 2004, when he defeated Brock Lesnar to become WWE Champion.
Outside of the ring, few wrestlers are remembered as fondly as Guerrero. He competed all around the world, from WWE and WCW to ECW, from AAA in Mexico to New Japan Pro Wrestling.
