On Monday, WWE confirmed that Emma was the latest to fall victim to the injury bug. They are now revealing the extent of the injury she suffered at a WWE Live show, and it’s uhh…it’s not great, Bob:
“Emma has a ruptured disc that will require her to have surgery,” explained WWE ringside physician Dr. Chris Robinson. “She came to us in a great deal of pain, which seemed to be increasing. She was then given an M.R.I., which revealed that further action would need to be taken. Unfortunately, the Superstar’s estimated recovery time cannot be determined until after her procedure is complete.”
Emma took to social media to give a further update on her current status:
I'm pretty gutted about my injury, and of course, the timing! But all the love and support going into surgery Wednesday helps. Thanks! #RAW

That kind of surgery can have a long and painful recovery, so hopefully she comes out of it better than ever. WWE itself is still attempting to recover from a series of serious WWE Superstar injuries that started back in 2015. The good news is that Cesaro is already back, John Cena will be returning earlier than anticipated, and three more major Superstars will make their returns within the next month. The bad news is that with 17 already-confirmed injuries, adding an up and coming female Superstar to the list is the last thing they need right now.
