No sleep 'til Brooklyn… #WeAreNXT pic.twitter.com/w7ZyPnXyxz

WWE isn’t in the business of spoiling any of their upcoming surprises, but NXT is a different kind of product, one where the personal evolution and professional motivations of the superstars bleed onto the canvas. On Thursday night, those who don’t read the NXT taping spoilers got a special treat from Triple H himself when he tweeted out the above photograph with a caption that reads: “No sleep ’til Brooklyn.”
In the ring is Shinsuke Nakamura and Finn Balor — both men facing off and showing a sign of mutual respect. If Triple H is hinting at the next possible big match-up for NXT Takeover: Brooklyn, it’s a hell of a doozy.
Nakamura and Balor are two of the best grapplers in the world, both with similar pedigrees in that they were acquired from New Japan Pro Wrestling. They’re seemingly on a collision course over the right to face Samoa Joe for the NXT Championship, but with the next Takeover event months away, me thinks the match-up between Finn and Shinsuke will happen sooner, with the winner facing Joe in Brooklyn.
Whichever way this shakes out, it seems like it’s a guarantee that the two men will meet for a bout before Finn gets the eventual call-up to the main roster.
