The Great White North should take notice, because Bill Goldberg is considering a move from his top secret Fallout hatch in the States to the safe havens of Canada. What could have Goldberg considering such a drastic move? An nWo cattle prod attack? While not exactly “WCW Nitro” related, it is politically motivated (see what I did there?). The former undefeated monster revealed on Steve Austin’s podcast that he isn’t thrilled with the prospects of the 2016 presidential election. (Transcript via Wrestling Inc.)
“Man, I think I’m going to follow in Brock’s footsteps. I’m moving to Canada … Man, we’re in a real sorry ass state. Man, we really are. I don’t know. The irresponsibility on one side and the corporate politician on the other and the lack of trust. At the end of the day, we’re at the lesser of two evils, but as a responsible American, who is voting for the leader of our country, are you kidding me? That’s our choice?”
Goldberg, who is currently engaged with a bit of “will they/won’t they” regarding any future with the WWE, says he is considering following in Brock Lesnar’s footsteps as an American living in Canada. One has to assume that there are enough snowy mountains and tamable wilderness for both of these man-beasts to coexist (in my mind, Brock lives in the Canadian wilds like Beorn from “The Hobbit”), but the Royal Canadian Mounted Police should remain on notice regardless.
While there were no details on when exactly Goldberg’s music will hit and his security-escorted journey from the locker room to the Canadian border will begin, he did speak on his heel turn, his relationship with Hulk Hogan, and more. The complete interview can be found on the Steve Austin podcast.
