Here’s An Exclusive First Look At The Logo For Lucha Underground’s Season-Ending Spectacular ULTIMA LUCHA

No, that isn’t the logo. That’d be a pretty sweet logo, though.

News broke back in March that Lucha Underground — the best wrestling show on television, if you haven’t been paying attention — would be airing a 2-hour event called ULTIMA LUCHA. In wrestling fan terms, it’d be their pay-per-view. Their “WrestleMania.”

If you watched Wednesday night’s episode, you know that “Ultima Lucha” is officially happening, and UPROXX has an exclusive first look at the “Ultima Lucha” logo. If you’re gonna do a season finale to one of the best seasons of wrestling ever, you do it in style.

Behold:

June 10th, 2015, Austin – El Rey Network is culminating the debut season of “Lucha Underground” with their biggest event yet, Ultima Lucha, airing as a 2 hour event on August 5th. Each match will be pivotal and the stakes have never been higher with every championship title on the line as the biggest names in the wrestling world collide at the “Lucha Underground” temple in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. This never before seen event was announced by Dario Cueto in tonight’s episode as a yearly event featuring the biggest fights and the most amazing matches full of twist, turns, and incredible action.

“Ultima Lucha will be the biggest event in the first season of ‘Lucha Underground’. All of our compelling story lines and characters will intersect in an action packed and entertaining spectacle that our fans have come to expect from us” said Executive Producer and Showrunner Eric Van Wagenen. “Ultima Lucha is a spectacular payoff to our groundbreaking inaugural season and will hopefully become a very anticipated annual event.”

The full lineup is yet to be announced but viewers can expect to see their favorite stars duke it out in the ring including: “Lucha Underground” Champion Prince Puma, Alberto El Patron, Johnny Mundo, Mil Muertes, Blue Demon Jr., and “Lucha Underground” Trios Champions Ivelisse, Angelico and Son of Havoc. Ultima Lucha will also welcome Drago, Hernandez, Texano, Sexy Star, King Cuerno, and Pentagon Jr. and many more into the ring.

The only appropriate reaction to this news:

Yeah. Watch this show. Find it on El Rey on Wednesdays nights at 8, check out the UniMas website for episodes streaming in Spanish or find El Rey Network on Sling TV for the English-language version. One of the things we’ve learned from the first 30+ episodes is that LU doesn’t set something up without paying it off, so if you miss their biggest payoffs, why even watch wrestling?
