John Cena Picks His WWE Cohort Brock Lesnar To Win At UFC 200

On Saturday, just as the preliminary fights for UFC 200 were getting underway, John Cena appeared on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” to discuss Brock Lesnar’s return to MMA and rock one of his trademark plaid suits. (Yes, it’s more of a windowpane, but come on now.)

John Cena, ever the company man, went on record as picking his WWE compatriot Lesnar to win his return UFC fight against Mark Hunt, even though Lesnar is the betting underdog and pretty much every MMA pundit in the world expects him to get knocked out on Saturday night.

Cena called Lesnar the most gifted athlete he’s ever had the pleasure of seeing, which is absolutely the truth. Cena said, “If he doesn’t win tonight, it’s obviously not his night. But having been associated with Brock, I don’t see it going any other way.”

The last couple times Cena has gone up against Lesnar, he’s gotten various levels of “trucked,” so it makes a lot of sense that he would back this particular Beast in the fight (beyond the fact that Cena, you know, bleeds WWE).

The whole world is waiting to see whether Cena will be a genius, or just another wrestling fan hoping that Lesnar shocks the sports world one more time. It’s sort of something that Lesnar has made several careers out of doing.
