After what was supposed to be a long nine months without the face of their company, WWE is finally getting their top Superstar back. John Cena took a break from rising above hate to rise above a shoulder injury that required surgery and a lengthy rehabilitation period. Or, at least it would if you don’t have the seemingly superhuman strength and resilience that he does.
Cena was sidelined in January when he had to undergo surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff, and was given the tentative recovery time of six to nine months — though we’re sure there’s never been an instance where Cena would turn down a combination of those nice numbers before, he made an exception and is on his way back well ahead of schedule.
Though he recently admitted that he’s only at about 70 percent of where he was before his injury, Cena had already set the date for his return to WWE Raw:
They said the surgery recovery time is 9 months, but I’m ready to go in 5. This #MemorialDay Cena is back on #Raw. #NeverGiveUp

He had already popped up to give The Rock a helping hand at WrestleMania 32, so it was only a matter of time before he popped back up on TV. It was then reported that he would be scheduled to wrestle former New Japan Pro Wrestling star Shinsuke Nakamura at a WWE Live event in Hawaii.
Now, with all that said, only one question remains: What color do you think his new T-shirt will be?
