Sheamus hasn’t been on TV since the Smackdown after WrestleMania 35, and he’s been dealing with spinal stenosis for more then two years, which has raised a lot of questions about his future in WWE. On the other hand, he has a workout channel on YouTube and has been getting in amazing physical shape, while talking about how he wants to come back and pursue the Intercontinental Championship. Now an encouraging report has emerged about the Irish Superstar.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Sheamus has recently been medically cleared to return to a WWE ring, and now he’s just waiting for Creative to give him something to do. Considering his most recent tag team partner, Cesaro, has been a singles wrestler for months now, it seems likely that Sheamus will return on his own, possibly to feud with Shinsuke Nakamura for that IC Title that he’s said he wants to win.
Unfortunately, the outlook appears to be less sunny for Jason Jordan, the former fake son of Kurt Angle and one-time tag team partner to Seth Rollins and Chad Gable. Jordan has been out of action due to a neck injury since early 2018, and although there was hope he’d return a few months later, that never materialized, and WWE instead began training him to work backstage. Backstage is where he still works, and the Observer says he’s not expect to be cleared anytime soon. The common belief seems to be that his in-ring career is probably over.
