Meet The Woman Who Gave Up Wrestling To Save Her Brother’s Life

Allie Parker is a pro wrestler fighting out of Las Vegas. Or at least she was until she gave up a part of herself to save her brother’s life.

Parker’s brother suffered through diabetes and painful dialysis procedures for years while waiting patiently to find a kidney donor. As his health worsened, Parker knew there was only one thing she could do: give up the thing she loved — the thing that had united both her and her brother since childhood — and become a living donor. Within 48 hours of wrestling her last match, Parker underwent surgery.

Both siblings are doing well after their respective procedures, and we here at With Spandex wish them all the best in their recovery, and a healthy and happy future.
