Periodically, WWE gets to put a lot of rumors regarding new talent to rest by formally announcing members of the latest class at their Orlando-based Performance Center. After months of chatter surrounding Australian tag-team specialists Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls (The Mighty Don’t Kneel), WWE finally confirmed their signings this week, along with eight other new faces. So, who are these new additions? Which of them have NXT in their future and which of them will barely make cameos on the next season of Breaking Ground? Here’s the rest of the list:
– Babatunde Aiyegbusi, Polish former football player
– Bianca Blair, American track and field/CrossFit athlete
– Nikola Bogojevic, American Greco-Roman wrestler
– Carolyn Dunning, American bodybuilder
– Macey Estrella, American independent wrestler and former Marine Corps servicewoman
– Terrance Jean-Jacques, American collegiate wrestler
– Danielle Kamela, American dancer and cheerleader
It’s a diverse crop of athletes, but aside from TMDK, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t the most excited about the final signing. Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to The Best in the Galaxy.
Nicola Glencross (Glasgow, Scotland) – Also known as Nikki Storm, Glencross has eight years of experience wrestling on the independent circuit for Japanese Women Pro-Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Eve, Scottish Wrestling Alliance, Insane Championship Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Elite, Stardom and Shine.
Nikki Storm has quietly been killing it for years now, which is surprising when you consider that her charisma is off the charts. The first time I saw her was at SHIMMER 56 two years ago, and everyone was just fascinated by this cocky fireball of energy using ‘Larger Than Life’ by the Backstreet Boys as entrance music. When she’s not boldly crossing language barriers in Japan, she can usually be found educating ring announcers on the proper pronunciation of Scottish cities.
I can’t wait. I’m already looking forward to her crossing paths with Paige or Becky Lynch and getting in an Accent Fight. Congratulations to all 10 signees!
