Traditionally Roman Reigns’ promos have involved him looking stern, shouting one sort-of catchy line then storming away before anything could go too wrong, but since returning from injury a few weeks back, his promos have taken a serious turn for the worse. Reigns’ TLC promo was so awkwardly phrased it caused the poor guy’s brain to shut down for a solid 30-seconds, and on Smackdown the super-cool badass future of the company was lifting lines from 1940s Tweety Bird cartoons. What’s caused Roman Reigns’ promos to take such a wrong turn at Albuquerque?
Well, word is Vince McMahon has taken a personal interest in Roman’s promos. While obviously all big decisions still go through Vince, he rarely, if ever, sits down to write verbiage for guys these days, but Roman’s THE PROJECT, so according to the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, he gets to sound like a 70-year-old, slightly addled cartoon nerd.
@WWMoan Vince is writing his promos. Vince is really out of touch. I hate to say it but the promos speak for themselves.

It is what it is I guess. I look forward to Reigns and Rollins’ duck season/rabbit season skit on Raw.
