Please note: If you’re still waiting to watch WWE Clash of Champions, but for some reason have clicked a post specifically about, y’know, WWE Clash of Champions, maybe bookmark this post for later as it has some definite spoilers.
Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins squared off against the Champion of the ENTIRE UNIVERSE (we’re pretty sure that’s how that works) Kevin Owens in the main event of Sunday’s pay-per-view. Owens initially won the belt after Jerk Dad Triple H interfered during their Raw title match, leading many to suspect that the COO would make another appearance. However, it would turn out to be another jerk dad — another Canadian jerk dad at that — who would prove to be Rollins’ undoing. Chris Jericho continually tried multiple times to distract Rollins, until finally his interference led to an injured ref and a pop-up powerbomb from Owens to retain his title.
Rollins’ efforts didn’t go unnoticed, however. After the broadcast was over, and Rollins finally recovered himself in the ring, the fans at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse showed their appreciation by rising to their feet and chanting his name as he made his way up the ramp to the back. And with that he’s a bonafide babyface, folks.
