We’re deep in WWE 2K17 season, which means the news and roster reveals will be flying fast and furious between now and the game’s October release. We already know what’s on the soundtrack and that there’s going to be a special NXT edition of the game. This week, IGN unveiled another round of roster additions, which came paired with the above video, featuring Finn Bálor (as WWE Champion) making his NXT TakeOver: Dallas entrance (at a virtual SummerSlam) (in Los Angeles), complete with chainsaw and Leatherface dance.

This certainly raises plenty of questions, like: why this entrance? Why not the Jack the Ripper entrance? (Haha we know why … because that one stunk.) Is this the only version of the Demon entrance you can get in the game? What if you hate chainsaws?

Anyway, you’re probably here for the roster reveal. The latest additions to the roster are:

– Alicia Fox
– André The Giant
– Baron Corbin
– Big E
– Billy Gunn
– Braun Strowman
– Bret Hart
– British Bulldog
– Cesaro
– Charlotte
– Daniel Bryan
– Edge
– Finn Bálor
– Hideo Itami
– Jake Roberts
– Kalisto
– Randy Orton
– Ricky Steamboat
– Sin Cara
– The Rock
– Triple H
– Tyson Kidd

Braun Strowman and Charlotte are the two WWE wrestlers from the latest batch of roster reveals that will be making their WWE game debuts.

This group joins the previously announced wrestlers: Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Ultimate Warrior, Sasha Banks, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Shane McMahon, The Vaudevillains, Booker T, Brian Pillman, Brie Bella, Chris Jericho, Los Matadores, Chris Jericho, Erick Rowan, Heath Slater, The Usos, Jim Neidhart, The Ascension, Larry Zbyszko, Nikki Bella and R-Truth.

So that’s all well and good, but can you actually use the chainsaw in the game? Please say you can use the chainsaw in the game. Or maybe you’ll just ineffectually fail to start it, like so much Dean Ambrose. Shameful, shameful, luddite Dean Ambrose.
