A Former TNA Tag Team Champion Is Reportedly Headed To WWE

Canadian wrestler Crazzy Steve — the man so crazy he is unable to successfully spell “crazy” the sane way — has been wrestling since 2003, but most fans weren’t aware of him until he popped up in Impact Wrestling in 2014. He was initially part of Knux’s Menagerie stable of “freaks,” but achieved his greatest notoriety and success as part of the Decay stable. Along with Abyss and Rosemary, they feuded with the Broken Hardys and helped Brother Matt and Brother Nero to viral glory. They also stole a baby.

Although Decay lost the tag team titles to the Hardys in the “Great War,” they were right back in the mix for the straps after the Hardys left the company and vacated the championship. They came up short trying to recapture the belts, and although he still has one taped episode left to air, it appears as though Steve is now done with Impact.

Dave Meltzer on a recent Wrestling Observer Radio reported that Crazzy Steve had been offered a contract by WWE, and has accepted. It’s unclear at this time whether he’ll report to NXT or go to the main roster, but NXT seems likely … unless WWE wanted to bring him in to reprise his feud with the Broken Hardys. Because the Broken Hardys are reportedly on the horizon.

Strap in, everybody. WWE is about to get 100 percent more Crazzy. Unless they repackage him as like “Sanne Scott Devereaux” or something.
