The current Sin Cara has developed a bit of a reputation for being a backstage brawler. He reportedly got in a fight at catering not too long ago with Simon Gotch of the Vaudevillains, which led to Gotch being taken off shows for a while. Sin Cara has also reportedly had a run-in with Sheamus, who has his own history of winding up on the losing end of backstage scuffles. Chris Jericho, of course, has his own backstage rep, most notably and recently when he nearly came to blows with Brock Lesnar following SummerSlam. Now these two titans of tangling have reportedly gone head-to-head, and Sin Cara could be in some seriously hot water.
Some early reports were coming out of the UK late on Sunday that had Cara (real name Jorge Arias) and Jericho getting into a backstage fight after a show in Leeds.
Hearing backstage #WWE fight took place overseas involving repeat offender. Have doubts on if he has leverage to work in his favor.

Details were sketchy at first (with MLW Radio in particular appearing to claim Jericho was knocked out, which Jericho refuted on Twitter), but on Monday, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer posted a full rundown of what happened. The altercation took place on a tour bus going from Leeds to Glasgow on Sunday night.
The description of what happened was that Arias was making annoying noises while on the tour bus and even though people were telling him to stop, he kept doing it. This led to Jericho more forcefully telling him to stop, resulting in Arias telling him to f**k off. Words were exchanged and Arias threw a wild right at Jericho before everyone jumped in to break it up. Jericho bit Arias’ finger during the skirmish.
Sin Cara was then kicked off the bus as a result of the fight. Meltzer says he “snapped in two seconds” and started the fight with no warning. While management was said to be on Cara’s side after the run-in with Gotch, they’re likely to be much less favorable about this incident, as Jericho is a top guy and veteran. Considering Sin Cara was kicked off the bus, that certainly doesn’t bode well.
Raw will be taped in Glasgow tonight. We’ll see whether Sin Cara ends up being part of the show, or if there’s some nudge-nudge wink-wink reference to the fight. You can probably bet on the latter.
