Just a few weeks ago, both the Usos and Naomi were involved in storylines on Smackdown Live, and all three were in action for their brand at Survivor Series. But they have been off television since the November 22 edition of Smackdown Live, where the Usos lost in a Tag Team Turmoil match, and Naomi lost to Alexa Bliss in the Main Event tapings.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, both Naomi and her brother-in-law Jey Uso have been dealing with ankle injuries. Naomi is expected to be back in action within the next week, but there’s currently no timeline on Jey’s return. In Instagram videos posted two weeks ago, Jey was using a wheelchair to get around in an airport.

Naomi — who has never been afraid to speak her mind — managed to get people talking this week even though she’s been out of action. On Tuesday, the WWE Universe sent out a tweet (that has now been deleted) congratulating the Total Divas cast on being nominated for Best Reality Show at the WIN Awards (which is apparently a thing). The graphic for the congratulatory tweet omitted Naomi as part of the cast however, leading to her clapping back.

She spent the evening retweeting people supporting her, including fellow Superstars Summer Rae and Sasha Banks. Hopefully this will end up being one of those situations where a star taking the initiative leads to better things, rather than punishment, but at any rate, we hope those ankles get healed up soon and the Usos and Naomi can all get back to action.
