Phenomenally talented nine-year-old piano prodigy Gavin George gives a sublime performance of Frédéric Chopin’s Fantaisie-Impromptu in C-sharp minor, Op. 66. The piece uses many cross-rhythms (the right hand plays sixteenth notes against the left hand playing triplets) and a ceaselessly moving note figuration in cut time (2/2).
Gavin played this before a crowd of thousands at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC, on June 30th, 2012. He was the featured performer at the Daughters of the American Revolution’s annual Continental Congress Convention.
