It just isn’t a Legion of Super-Heroes book if there isn’t some sort of time-travel shenanigans at some point, and Legion of Super-Heroes #15 busts out the inevitable: Dinosaurs.
If you haven’t been reading the book, it’s classic Legion, and there’s a reason for that. Paul Levitz has been DC’s go-to writer for the franchise for a while. Levitz, of course, was the creative head of DC between 2002 and 2009 and has been working at the company for more than three decades. In that time, his writing has largely centered around the Legion. He knows the book inside and out, and you can see the love of the characters and the mix of superheroics and pulp SF on the page.
Courtesy of DC, we’ve got an exclusive preview of this issue, which takes place in 21st century Barcelona and has superheroes fighting dinosaurs. As you’ll be able to tell, Francis Portela is having a lot of fun mixing the two.
Really, we should have just led off with that. But there’s a bit more to the book than that, as you’ll see on these next few pages. Legion of Super-Heroes #15 will hit the stands this Wednesday.
