This past Friday was John Podesta’s last day as a senior adviser to President Obama. To celebrate, the former chief of staff in Bill Clinton’s administration announced his departure on Twitter with a few of his favorite successes and worst regrets while on the job:
My last day as Counselor to President Obama. It's been a tremendous privilege to serve a great President and the country for this last year.

Most of what Podesta tweeted was promotional in nature — lauding past projects which he was directly involved, reminding his followers of environmental achievements, and celebrating recent economic partnerships with China.
Oh, and then he talked about “the UFO files”:

Here’s the thing: Podesta is an outspoken supporter of identifying and declassifying classified government documents about UFO sightings, alleged crashes and subsequent investigations, and aliens. If Fox Mulder were a real person, Podesta probably would have been one of his government informants:
When he was the White House chief of staff under Bill Clinton, Mr Podesta was in charge of a project to declassify 800 million pages of intelligence documents.
He said in a press conference: ‘It is time for the government to declassify records that are more than 25 years old and to provide scientists with data that will assist in determining the real nature of this phenomenon.’ (Via Daily Mail)
Everyone seems to think Podesta’s tweet about failing to disclose the government’s shady secrets about little green men (and women) is a big deal. However, what about his inability to choose between riding in a NASCAR vehicle and a cherry picker?

The cherry picker’s the obvious choice. Gets you closer to the aliens.
