As I watched last night’s episode of South Park, which was just rife with Penn State jokes — most of them delivered by a Child Protective Services case worker — I thought, “I wonder how long it’s going to take from someone to make a supercut of all these cracks?” As it turns out, less than 24 hours.
Now, I’m not entirely sure if Trey Parker and Matt Stone were trying to make fun of Penn State, or if they were trying to make fun of people making Penn State jokes, but I laughed, shamefully, at a number of them, including:
“…Penn State prefers to be losing at halftime, because at Penn State they like when you’re a little behind in the locker room.”
“I see you kids have all been horribly physically and emotionally abused. Oh, whoops! That isn’t your case file. That’s the Penn State University Gazette!”
“A Penn State administrator walks into a bar…. How about this one: Joe Paterno doesn’t walk into a police station. Come on, that’s a good one.”
I kind of feel sorry for the Penn State football players who have to play in front of 100,000 screaming Ohio State fans this Saturday in Columbus. The hazing those guys are going to get is going to be EPIC.
