Chris Paul Was Hobnobbing With Floyd Mayweather And Kevin Hart Before The Clippers’ Game

It’s early in the season, but Chris Paul has to be feeling pretty good right now. His Clippers have exploded out of the gates to a 4-0 start, Blake Griffin is ranked fourth in scoring, DeAndre Jordan is second in rebounding, while Paul himself is third in assists. After last spring’s grueling first-round series against the Spurs, they know all too well how important playoff positioning will be in the Western Conference, so they simply can’t afford to come stumbling out of the blocks.

But that doesn’t mean they can’t pause from time to time and enjoy the fruits of their labor. After all, there has to be some perks to being an NBA superstar in a city like Los Angeles. And one of those perks is that other high-profile celebrities often show up to games and sit courtside and seize the opportunity to engage in some celebrity schmoozing with one another.

That’s what happened Monday night at Staples Center prior to the Clippers’ game against the visiting Phoenix Suns, when TMZ caught Paul hobnobbing with retired boxing champ Floyd Mayweather and funnyman Kevin Hart, who was there with his son.

Paul had a solid outing en route to a 102-96 win over the Suns. He scored 17 points on 50 percent shooting and added five assists. Griffin continued his stellar play with 22 points and 10 rebounds. For their next game, Paul and the Clippers will have to leave the comforts of Hollywood and travel to Oakland to meet the also-red-hot and also-undefeated Golden State Warriors on Wednesday.
