The Pokémon cartoon was a bit (okay, a lot) after my time, but there’s no denying it had one of the best intros ever. I’m pretty certain Pokémon wouldn’t be even a fraction as popular as it is today without that catchy, Catch ‘Em All theme song.
Well, a group of animators from in and around Ottawa teamed up to create their own version of the Pokémon intro. The indelible theme song remains the same, but all the animation is new and a lot of it goes in some very, uh, unique directions. I’m guessing this insanity is pretty much what the intro actually looks like to little Pokémon fanatics jacked to the gills on Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
