Dave Grohl Performed ‘Learn To Fly’ With The Muppets

It’s becoming impossible to dislike Dave Grohl. The Foo Fighters frontman just can’t keep himself away from insanely endearing stunts. Grohl’s really ramped it up in the past few months by playing along with Italian superfans and drum battling puppets. Now he’s playing his band’s most recognizable hit alongside The Muppets’ band Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem.

Check it out up top.

As Pitchfork points out, this isn’t Grohl’s first brush with Jim Henson’s felt family. He played “Animool,” the sleazy knock-off version of the wildman Muppet drummer, in 2011’s Muppets Movie.

For more of Grohl being great, check out the video where he takes a firm stance on lighters v. cellphones. During a recent tour stop, Grohl took shots at cells and EDM in one fell swoop:

“This is a sweet, sweet occasion. Ladies and gentlemen, I would like for you to light this rock show with any sort of illuminating device you are holding in your hands. Cigarette lighters are preferred, because that’s the f*cking old school sh*t. I’d rather it look like a Scorpions video than a Deadmau5 video.”

Of course, if you’d rather hear some — you know — music from Grohl, we have that, as well.
